Job Description - REGIST POLYSOMNOGRAPHIC TECH

Supervises FTEs: No Number of FTEs Supervised: n/a Exercises full management authority including performance reviews, discipline, termination and personnel hiring No Annual Revenue in Dollars: N/A Annual Expense in Dollars: N/A No Age of Population Served - Choose all that apply ☒ Adult (18 - 64 years) UVMC ☒ Geriatric (65 years & older) ☐ Gather, analyze and score patient Information and data acquisition. Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments as necessary. Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting at advanced skill level, with a thorough working knowledge of current mask designs. Follow procedural protocols such as Multiple Sleep Latency Test, Maintenance of Wakefulness Test, parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration to ensure collection of appropriate data. Follow “lights out” procedures to establish and document baseline values such as body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory heart rates, etc. Insure signals during testing are artifact free and make adjustments as necessary. Follows appropriate workflows for scoring and data retrieval. The above duties and responsibilities may be essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodations.
