Salary: $22.00 – $65.00 / Hourly

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Minimum 10 – 25 hours per week
Location: Suffolk & Nassau Counties, Long Island

Employment: Full-Time and Part-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) at various experience levels to provide direct 1:1 support and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for clients with autism and developmental disabilities.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide direct behavior-analytic services to individuals as outlined in treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs using evidence-based procedures.
  • Accurately collect and record data using session notes and electronic data collection systems.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings.
  • Follow all BACB guidelines and PBS policies to maintain RBT certification in good standing.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and team members.
  • Execute emergency/crisis protocols when necessary, per supervisor’s guidance.
  • Participate in regular supervision with assigned BCBA (meeting all BACB supervision requirements).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Supervising BCBA.

RBT Levels & Requirements:

We offer three levels of RBT roles based on educational background and experience. All RBTs must adhere to BACB supervision requirements and NYS fingerprinting clearance guidelines.

RBT 1 – Entry Level

  • Education: Associate’s Degree or at least 60 college credits OR minimum 2 years of experience in the field
  • Certification: Must have or obtain RBT Certification within the probationary period (including 40-hour training and passing RBT exam)
  • Other Requirements: NYSED fingerprint clearance, commitment to BACB code of ethics
  • Preferred: Bilingual

RBT 2 – Mid-Level

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (in psychology, education, or related field preferred)
  • Certification: RBT Certification (active) or proof of 40-hour coursework aligned with BACB requirements
  • Other Requirements: NYSED fingerprint clearance, active participation in supervision
  • Preferred: Bilingual

RBT 3 – Senior Level

  • Education: Master’s Degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field
  • Certification: RBT Certification (active) OR completed BCBA coursework/Advanced Certificate in ABA
  • Other Requirements: NYSED fingerprint clearance, strong documentation and communication skills
  • Preferred: Bilingual

Skills and Competencies:

Communication:

  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to effectively report on client progress
  • Professional interaction with families and colleagues

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Willingness to receive feedback and apply supervisory guidance
  • Flexibility and reliability in working with multiple teams and locations

Analytical Thinking:

  • Apply ABA principles and collect data accurately
  • Demonstrate sound judgment during client sessions

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Maintain adherence to BACB ethical guidelines
  • Complete all required documentation and training timely
  • Honor confidentiality and legal standards (HIPAA, FERPA, Mandated Reporting)

Technical Literacy:

  • Comfortable using Google Workspace and data collection systems (e.g., Catalyst, CentralReach)
