Registered Dental Hygienist

Mendocino Community Health Center (MCHC) is currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist  to join our care team at Hillside. This is a part-time position, 2 days a week Tuesdays - Wednesdays from 8:30AM-5:30PM. MCHC provides comprehensive services for the communities of Mendocino and Lake Counties In addition to Dental Care, we provide primary care, behavioral health, women's services, and specialty care services. Our Dental team consists of Dentists, RDH, RDA-EFT2s, RDAs, and DAs. Dental is central to the care we provide our patients.  If you have not yet traveled to this part of California, it is the peacefulness of Redwood Tree Groves and the short drive to the awe-inspiring Pacific Ocean that will draw you! 

Key Responsibilities

• Examine teeth and gums for signs of disease, abnormalities, and other oral health concerns.
• Perform dental cleanings and remove plaque, calculus, and stains.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as appropriate.
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and healthy habits.
• Develop individualized care plans to help patients maintain optimal oral health.
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that supports the dignity and needs of every patient.
• Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission and values in all interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and the community.

  Required Qualifications:

• California Dental Hygienist License
• CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience documenting in an electronic health record (EHR)
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, Fluent
