As an RMA, you’ll support residents in their daily activities and empower them to make choices that enhance their quality of life. Whether assisting with self-administration of medication or providing staff support, your role will be crucial in helping residents thrive! PAY RATE:
Based upon previous experiences and qualifications, the RMA starting base rate of pay is$16.15 - $21.21 per hour
+ $2.00 shift premium per hour when scheduled to work from 2:00 PM - 6:00 AM, all days
+ $2.00 weekend premium per hour when scheduled to work any shift (6:00 AM Saturday through 6:00 AM Monday)

Positions scheduled 60+ hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) are eligible for all benefits; positions scheduled 40-59 hours per pay period are eligible for most benefits except medical insurance.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Flex (PRN) - A minimum of three shifts per month (one shift must be a weekend) required.
Requirements
As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.
VMRC is a drug-free community - we have and will continue to comply with all federal and state laws. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to satisfactorily pass a background check and drug screen during the pre-employment screening process.
High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
Must have one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant License in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Direct Care Staff Certificate, or have completed an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training program.
Current Medication Administration License in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 90 days from course completion).
CPR and First-Aid certified or obtain certifications at VMRC within 60 days of employment.
Ability to work some flexible hours, and participate in holiday activities.
Ability to speak, understand, and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language.
Self-motivated with ability to perform duties listed in the job description independently with limited supervision.
Willing to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities.
Ability to work closely with staff, residents, and families in a calm, pleasant, respectful, and professional manner; be diplomatic in resident and co-worker relations.
Act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
