Job Description - Registered Nurse

JOB SUMMARY


We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is seeking their next exciting opportunity in a complex and ever-evolving work environment! Our Registered Nurse will help to improve the quality of life for our patients, focusing on providing compassionate care for our patients with respiratory conditions, working in conjunction with providers and our dedicated healthcare teams to come up with treatment plans to help our patients with their respiratory health needs.

From CPAP equipment to manage obstructive sleep apnea, to portable oxygen and ventilation services to treat conditions like COPD, our goal is to provide the respiratory health products that help our patients maintain their independence. RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Collaborate with providers, staff, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement effective treatment plans for patients.

  • Provide appropriate ventilation support, maintain, and monitor other pulmonary life support equipment.

  • Provide compassionate patient respiratory care according to the physician’s orders/approved protocols, with consideration given to the age of the patient.

  • COMPLIANCE: Patient care staff are responsible for maintaining compliance tasks daily (e.g., patient utilization, improvement, check ins/follow ups, documentation, resolution, task lists, etc.).

  • Must be flexible and willing to assist with staffing coverage at various locations, when peers are out due to continued education, vacation, leave, etc...

  • Train and assist with overall daily operations of Respiratory Therapy including scheduling, coverage, and quality assurance at existing and new locations.  

  • Assess the needs of the patient/client and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet the needs of the patients.

  • Involve the patient/client and/or family, caregiver in the selection process.

  • Instruct patients/clients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for that equipment.

  • Communicate with the patient's/client's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and carry out adjustment to the patient's/client's Plan of Care/Treatment.

  • Complete patient/client accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care/Home assessments.

  • Act as a liaison between the company and the patient/client, family, caregiver, physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff on the case.

  • Assume full responsibility for actions, professional skills, and attitudes.

  • Support the organization by being loyal and informing the branch manager of areas of concern and problems to be resolved.

  • This position may require on-call rotation for phone consultations during non-business hours and some home setup day travel.

  • Perform all job functions with Company Mission, Vision, and Goal Statements in mind.

  • Flexible attitude and willingness to take on extra tasks as necessary.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned. This job description is not inclusive of all responsibilities and duties and can be changed by management discretion at any time.


 EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS



  • High degree of integrity.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Current and valid RN License credentials. Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist preferred, but other medical credentials may be acceptable.

  • Strong understanding of the respiratory system and various respiratory conditions.

  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze patient data, assess situations, and make informed decisions.

  • Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company’s branch.

  • Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people to result in constructive working relationships.

  • People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.

  • Ability to work safely and accurately with minimal supervision.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and time management skills.

  • Ability to cater to diverse customer base.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.


 SCHEDULE



  • This is a full-time days position that will require a 40-hour work week.

  • Hours: Generally, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

  • This position does have an on-call rotation. 


Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory response from a Background Screening.
