We are seeking a Registered Nurse with 3+ years of leadership experience to immediately fill a Director of Surgical Services position. This role requires a dynamic clinical leader with a strong background in surgical services and a passion for team development, patient-centered care, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Kentucky (required)

• BLS certification (required)

• PALS and ACLS certifications (preferred)

• Minimum of 3 years in a nursing leadership or management role

Position Overview:

This leadership position oversees a 5-bed surgical unit known for its collaborative team culture and high standards in surgical patient care. The Director will be responsible for directing daily operations, ensuring clinical quality, and aligning departmental strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all operations within Surgical Services to meet clinical, administrative, and compliance goals

• Develop and implement departmental goals, protocols, and quality standards

• Monitor patient care delivery and maintain performance and quality control measures

• Oversee staffing functions, including hiring, onboarding, evaluations, training, and corrective actions

• Manage departmental budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility

• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain regulatory compliance

• Promote professional growth through mentorship and ongoing education

• Integrate evidence-based practices into daily operations and clinical workflows

• Provide leadership and support to both internal staff and external partners, vendors, and stakeholders

• Ensure reliable attendance and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as needed
