What We’re Looking For:
Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse ready to empower students and schools? Here's what you’ll need to join our team:
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure: Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Language Proficiency: Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
Your Role:
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ health and wellness to ensure they can fully participate in their educational experience. Here’s how you’ll contribute:
Assess Health Needs: Conduct comprehensive health assessments to identify students’ physical, emotional, and developmental needs that may impact learning.
Communicate Effectively: Share assessment findings with parents, school staff, and district personnel using clear, compassionate, and culturally sensitive communication.
Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with the ARD/504 committee and other education professionals to develop individualized health care plans and accommodations that support students’ access to education.
Provide Direct Care: Deliver nursing services such as medication administration, chronic disease management, first aid, and emergency care, ensuring student safety and compliance with medical protocols.
Monitor Health Status: Keep accurate, confidential records of student health status, treatments, and outcomes, and use data to adapt care plans and interventions.
Support the School Community: Participate in ARD/504 meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for student health and contribute to overall wellness initiatives on campus.
Your clinical expertise and compassionate care will empower students to overcome health-related barriers, promote well-being, and support success in all areas of their development.
