Registered Nurse

University Home Care is looking for RNs with home care experience in cites downriver surrounding Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Description of the role

The Skilled RN will provide top-quality care and assistance to patients in their homes. They will perform various nursing duties, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication as prescribed by healthcare providers


• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate


• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans


• Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques


• Document patient information accurately and timely

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Michigan


• 1 year of home care experience as an RN (REQUIRED)
  


• Proven experience as an RN in a clinical setting


• Excellent clinical and assessment and documentation skills


• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities


• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions


• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification


• Current BLS certification 


• Access to reliable transportation


• Compassionate and friendly demeanor


• Experience with Kinnser (not necessary but preferred)
