Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical & Triage

Spokane Urology – Spokane, WA

Location: 1401 E Trent Ave Ste 200, Spokane, WA 99202
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week | Full-Time
Compensation: $40.00 – $46.29 per hour (based on experience)

Spokane Urology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys a dynamic outpatient environment where no two days are the same and where you can make a direct impact on patient care.

About the Role

This position blends both clinic-based nursing and triage responsibilities, offering a unique and meaningful role within the practice. The RN will support both in-person patient care and telephone/triage workflows, helping ensure patients receive timely access to clinical guidance and appropriate next steps in their care.

This role replaces a remote triage-only position and expands into a more integrated clinical function, allowing the RN to:

  • Provide timely triage support for patients with urgent or complex concerns
  • Support in-clinic patient care, including procedures and treatments
  • Collaborate closely with providers and clinical staff to coordinate care
  • Improve patient access and reduce delays in clinical decision-making

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patient health problems and needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, and maintains medical records. The RN administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients in the clinic setting.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assesses patient problems both in the office and on the phone, to determine disposition of patient.
  • Facilitates patient care and documents all communication into the electronic medical record (EMR) .
  • Communicates physician treatment plan including lab/imaging results to patients and documents appropriately within the EMR.
  • Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects per written provider orders.
  • Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepares rooms, steriles instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
  • Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Instructs individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education and disease prevention. Develops health improvement programs.
  • Engages in continuous learning, adjusts the application knowledge, skills and abilities while addressing new challenges as contextual realities change.
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned.
  • Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • RN license and certification required by state.
  • BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Ability to handle stressful and constantly changing conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understands the implications of the latest information required for both current and future problem solving decisions.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Suite and EMR applications.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions and is forthright about errors or uncertainty.
  • Ability to build relationships with patients and display empathy and compassion to patients.
  • Complies with all health and safety policies of the organization.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years previous clinical experience, urology experience preferred.
