Registered Nurse

POSITION: Registered Nurse (RN) 

Status: Non‑Exempt 
Department: Clinical Support Staff 
Schedule: Day shift + rotating on-call 
Location: Unalaska, AK (Relocation Required) 

ROLE SUMMARY

Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, including after‑hours urgent and emergent needs. Work independently, think critically, and deliver excellent customer service in a rural medical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan

·        Develop and implement patient care plans

·        Administer medications & therapeutic measures

·        Assist with emergency/urgent care procedures

·        Maintain aseptic technique and safe environments

·        Perform dispensary duties

·        Document all nursing interventions accurately

·        Participate in trainings, meetings & community events

·        Support clinic operations (cleaning, stocking, equipment care)

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

·        Strong clinical assessment & triage skills

·        Ability to respond to urgent and after‑hours calls

·        Knowledge of medications, medical equipment & care procedures

·        Excellent communication & teamwork abilities

·        Ability to obtain IV/IO access

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

·        Alaska RN License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

·        BLS – Required

·        ACLS, PALS & TNCC – Required within 6 months of hire

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·        Accredited Nursing Program (BSN, Diploma, or ADN)

·        2 Year nursing experience – Required

·        ER/Critical Care – Preferred
