Do you want work that makes a meaningful difference in your community? Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Henry’s House in Burgaw, NC

As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for the overall safety and healthcare needs of all participants and staff in attendance at Henry's House, which provides respite care for residents.  You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team, provide guidance to Medical Assistants, and ensure meticulous medical documentation is maintained for a safe and therapeutic environment. The work schedule varies, with occasional nights and weekends. 

What You’ll Do  .

• Completes initial assessment of the consumer’s personal care needs.


• Develops a plan of care based upon the assessment of the consumer


• Monitors and trains direct service providers providing personal care services or services to medically fragile consumers.


• Monitors all required documentation to ensure local, state, federal and Agency requirements are met.


• Ensures quality services that support individuals to achieve personal outcomes and protects the rights and ensures health, safety, and welfare of the individuals we support.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse or any medical staff considered equivalent or higher


• Previous residential or school experience


• Ability to be on call 24 hours a day during respite stays


• Ability to work with a diverse group of people while demonstrating respect and consideration for all individuals including staff and participants


• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
