Registered Nurse, Acute Care

*Registered Nurse Acute Care - Pine Ridge, SD *

*Local and Travel position *

*Shift: *Day/Night - 12/8 hours

*Pay rate: *$50-53/hour + Stipends (for travelers)

*Contract Length:* 13 weeks; with the option to extend.

*Responsibilities: *
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and physician orders.
* Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate patients' conditions, including vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, and adjust care plans as necessary.
* Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and strategies for managing symptoms and promoting recovery.
* Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
* Provide emergency care as needed, including performing CPR and other advanced life support techniques.

*Requirements: *
* A bachelor's degree in nursing
* 2 years of experience as an RN
* 1 year of experience in an Acute Care unit
* Active unrestricted RN license
* Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
