Overview

Texas Nursing Services is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for a new 19-bed adolescent residential treatment center opening in the Frisco area. The program serves girls aged 13 to 17 diagnosed with conditions such as depression, anxiety, self-harm behaviors, and family conflict.

This is a high-priority, immediate-start opportunity offering flexible scheduling, overtime pay, and the chance to help shape a newly established behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, health assessments, and medication administration to adolescent residents.

• Monitor behavioral and physical health, recognizing early signs of crisis or decompensation.

• Implement de-escalation and crisis prevention strategies as needed.

• Document all care accurately in KIPU EMR and ensure compliance with facility policies.

• Collaborate with Mental Health Technicians (MHTs), CNAs, and clinical leadership to support individualized care.

• Communicate effectively with the treatment team regarding patient progress and safety concerns.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active, unencumbered Texas RN license

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health, psychiatric, or residential treatment experience

Preferred:

• ACLS certification

• Familiarity with KIPU or similar EMR systems

• Strong assessment, communication, and crisis management skills

Compensation & Benefits

• $45 to $52/hour (based on experience)

• Overtime pay at 1.5x after 40 hours
