MUST:
Experienced Registered Nurse - Ambulatory
IV Placement
MUST be BLS certified
MUST have ACLS
MUST have experience with patient education
MUST have EMR experience

DUTIES:
Explain procedure to the patient to gain cooperation and alleviate apprehension. Provide emotional support.
Administer medication in accordance to protocol
Provide assistance to the physician and technicians during procedure.
Maintain awareness of the comfort and safety needs of the patients.
Using monitoring devices and/or observation, notifying the physician of any significant changes in the patient's condition.
Alerting the physician of any condition or deviation from the required procedural preparation that could lead to some adverse reaction.
Knowing location and use of emergency equipment.
Participate in unit quality improvement activities, education, and/or experiences.
Provides support to technicians during procedures
Performs pre-procedure patient screening and assessments to include evaluating and educating scheduled patients for the procedure.
Provides direct patient care by incorporating the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) prior to, during and after all clinical procedures and documents accordingly.
Administers medications during invasive and non-invasive procedures and delivers appropriate drug and therapeutic interventions during emergency situations
