Job Title: MAS-RN (Medication Assistance Supervisor -Registered Nurse)
Reports To: Clinical Director

Position Overview:
Fellowship House is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) certified or willing to be certified as a Medication Assistance Supervisor (MAS) through the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) Nurse Delegation Program. The MAS-RN will provide nursing care and oversight for individuals receiving substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment. This role involves direct medical services, medication supervision, interdisciplinary collaboration, and health education to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
Primary Job Functions:
Function within the scope of the ABON and ADMH Nurse Delegation Program.
Successfully complete and maintain MAS certification and supervise Medication Assistance Certified (MAC) workers.
Teach MAC certification classes as scheduled.
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for individuals in treatment and develop/update individualized Plans of Care.
Provide direct medical services, ensuring timely and safe administration of medications and treatments.
Monitor health conditions of individuals in treatment and promptly document changes in electronic health records (EHR).
Oversee the storage, administration, and disposal of medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Educate staff on medical, medication, and nutritional guidelines related to individual care needs.
Serve as a resource for crisis intervention, injury assessment, and emergency response.
Participate in staff meetings, treatment team discussions, and professional development activities.
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active Alabama RN License in good standing.
MAS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Two or more years of nursing experience in behavioral health or general medical care (preferred).
Familiarity with psychotropic and substance use treatment medications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Must pass background check and drug screening per ADMH regulations.
