Established healthcare organization in *Brooklyn, NY* is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced *Registered Nurse* to join the team on a *full-time* basis. Operating seven days a week with general hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, the schedule will be determined at the time of hire to accommodate a 40-hour work week without any on-call responsibilities.
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive care to patients, conducting thorough health assessments, coordinating site operations, facilitating patient education, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.
*Key Responsibilities:* * Conduct thorough health assessments, including physical assessments, vital sign measurements, and gathering pertinent health and dietary history information. * Oversee administrative tasks as a clinic site coordinator, ensuring efficient site operations, including information, inventory, and waste management. * Coordinate specialized testing, medical procedures, and referrals to specialists, obtaining necessary authorizations and communicating effectively with patients and caregivers regarding their care plans. * Provide patient education, review prescriptions, explain treatment purposes and instructions, and offer health education and counseling to promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills, particularly in family planning services. * Collaborate closely with physicians, assisting with physical assessments and procedures, administering treatments and medications, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with health center policies. * Triage patient calls and visits, determine needs, initiate appropriate actions, manage emergency situations, and make timely referrals when necessary.
*Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:* * Current New York State Nursing license. * Two years of experience as a Nurse with responsibilities similar to those of a Nurse within a medical setting. * Experience in family practice preferred.
*Benefits and Salary:* * *Salary between $75,000 - $85,000 per year DOE* * Four weeks of paid time off (PTO), including 12 sick days, 4 personnel days, and 12 holidays. * Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance coverage with employee contribution based on salary. * Two days of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
