Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.
Performs TEE and Cardioversion procedures with the use of anesthesia, recovers, and discharges the patient.
Performs Stress testing on both IP and OP, administers cardiac medications as required.
Performs Tilt Table testing.
Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and development.
Must be available for on call assignments, as needed.
Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Minimum Education
Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or
Associates Degree Nursing Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
Minimum Work Experience
1-3 years experience in Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Required
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state Upon Hire Required
BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
In depth knowledge of the policies and procedures of the hospital.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
Basic Computer Skills.
Critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt to department workload.
Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of nursing practice.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Demonstrated good verbal and written communications, and organizational skills.
