Job Description - REGISTERED NURSE COORDINATOR - ECMO PROGRAM
, Permanent Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse Coordinator to join our team in Atlantis, FL. As the Registered Nurse Coordinator for our ECMO Program, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients in need of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) therapy. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the ECMO program, including patient admissions, discharges, and transfers - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients on ECMO therapy - Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures related to ECMO therapy - Educate patients and their families on the purpose and process of ECMO therapy, as well as potential risks and complications - Serve as a resource for healthcare providers and staff on best practices and protocols for ECMO therapy - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to ECMO therapy - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices for ECMO therapy - Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress in electronic medical records - Collaborate with insurance companies and other payers to obtain authorization for ECMO therapy and ensure timely reimbursement - Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage for the ECMO program Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred - Minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care or cardiac nursing, with at least 1 year of experience in ECMO therapy - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Knowledge of ECMO equipment and procedures - Experience with electronic medical records and computer proficiency If you are a highly motivated and compassionate nurse with a passion for providing exceptional care to patients on ECMO therapy, we want to hear from you!
