How you'll make an impact in this role






  • Lead rapid-response emergency operations across acute, outpatient, and dynamic field environments to ensure uninterrupted clinical care during local or national disasters.

  • Direct response and recovery efforts using the Incident Command System (ICS) and National Response Framework to manage high-stress crisis scenarios effectively.

  • Educate healthcare teams and community partners on critical disaster management protocols to build resilience and maintain continuous operational readiness.

  • Represent the organization in strategic partnerships and regional Emergency Medical Task Force agreements to strengthen collaborative community response.

  • Maintain short-notice deployment readiness and field competency as a non-negotiable requirement to deliver high-quality care whenever and wherever disaster strikes.









What minimum qualifications you'll need






Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

  • Qualifications & Experience: Prefer 3+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience alongside proven critical thinking skills.

  • Core Competencies: Demonstrates decisive judgment, strong autonomous performance under minimal supervision, and the resilience to thrive in high-stress environments.
