Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide the highest quality of patient care to facility residents and patients.
• Documentation: Promptly document care performed and observations of resident status in the clinical record, adhering to standard clinical documentation guidelines.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' physicians and complete all nursing documentation, including assessments, orders, progress notes, flowsheets, consents, and any assigned tasks.
• Medication Management: Administer medications as ordered, observe and report resident responses, identify and communicate adverse drug reactions, and maintain accurate narcotic records.
• Emergency Response: Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments with residents, including administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company’s clinical policies and procedures, and follow guidelines established from the Nurse Practice Act, company standards, policies, and procedures.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect resident rights regarding all resident/personnel information.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of HIPAA laws and related regulations.
• Exhibit strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing. BSN preferred.

Licenses/Certification  

Current RN Licensure in the State employed.

Valid CPR Certification.

Experience

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
