Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Alaska

Espirita is excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at a non-profit community hospital in Alaska. Our facility is a nationally recognized specialist in adult and pediatric trauma, operating as a Level 4 trauma center with 152 licensed beds. We pride ourselves on a strong patient-to-nurse ratio and a culture of shared leadership, serving the surrounding area and outlying counties for approximately 320km.

About the Role:

We seek a confident, dynamic, and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in emergency care. You will delegate tasks, comply with policies, and ensure clinical effectiveness. Successful candidates will review assessment data, diagnostics, and laboratory results, reporting abnormalities to physicians and the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triage and stabilize incoming patients


• Administer medications


• Start IV lines


• Perform procedures like tracheotomies and intubations


• Create and maintain patient records


• Collaborate with the emergency team


• Transfer stable patients to other hospital wings

Requirements: 

• Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing (BSN) 


• NCLEX-RN Exam has been successfully passed


• English Proficiency Certificate (or native speaker)


• 24 months recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting 


• Ability/willingness to relocate for a minimum of 2 years
