JOB DESCRIPTION-

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

ER - ED/ER

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department will have the following job responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

ER - ED/ER

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Emergency Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

Education

• Required: Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Preferred: Specialty certification

Experience

• Required: Minimum one year of recent Emergency experience required or currently oriented and can provide care independently within the department required. Must demonstrate independent management of cardiac, complex med/surg, pediatric, and multiple trauma patients.
• Demonstrated competence in area of expertise.

Credentials

• Required: Registered Nurse

• Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
• Required: ACLS according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
• ENPC and TNCC within 12 months of hire or transfer date.

Compensation: $40.09-76.12/hour
