What You’ll Experience in the Fellowship:

• ANPD Transition to Practice Course
• Extended Orientation (3–4 months) with weekly check-ins
• Monthly Support Meetings with our Nursing Education Team for your first year
• Hands-on Training across all RN areas: Acute, Residential, and Admissions
• Classroom Education covering:
  • Pediatric psychiatric medication management
  • Milieu management and aggression response
  • Trauma-responsive care
  • Self-care and stress management
  • Therapeutic communication and de-escalation
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
  • Psychiatric assessment skills
  • And much more!

Job Summary:

As a fellow RN or LPN, you will provide individualized care to pediatric psychiatric patients, participate in treatment planning, administer medications, and support patients through therapeutic activities. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care
• Conduct assessments and implement treatment plans
• Supervise and mentor support staff
• Monitor patient safety and respond to crises
• Document care accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families
• Collaborate across departments to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program
• Current Montana nursing license (or compact state license)
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in any field preferred
