Registered Nurse for Camp Mi-Te-Na

Camp Mi-Te-Na has provided a meaningful summer experience for boys for over 100 years. We are currently looking to hire a Registered Nurse for the 2025 summer. We currently have one opening in Alton, NH on the shores of Halfmoon Lake. The Camp RN will live onsite at camp for our August 3rd - 16th session at an all-boys' YMCA overnight camp.

The Camp RN is responsible for the following:

• Routine nursing care to campers, counselors, and staff per physicians’ orders and instructions
• Provide emergency care to campers and staff involved in accidents or injury
• Administration of prescribed medication
• Set up, maintain, and close the Infirmary when needed
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and create lists of what is needed
• Processing documentation on nursing care and accident reports
• Communication of nursing care and medical attention to parents with information
• Promote the YMCA’s Character Development Program
• Check and monitor our medical software for current or incoming camper files
• Work with Camp Mi-Te-Na/Foss management staff to promote positive inter-camp relations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Register Nurse in the State of New Hampshire
• Documented experience working as a nurse

Pay range is $1,200-$1,500 per week depending on experience.

Room and board are included in the compensation package.
Additionally, staff children/grandchildren/youth dependents are eligible to receive free camp at either Mi-Te-Na or our sister camp, Camp Foss.
