INTRODUCTION:
The clinic RN provides quality safe nursing care to patients of Siletz Community Health Clinic while working within the scope of practice. This position assists providers and other team members in a wide variety of duties, as well as coordinating care to optimize patient outcomes.
DUTIES:
REQUIREMENTS:
RN licensure in the State of Oregon. New Graduate RN’s with less than 2 years of experience will start at TL 124. After two years of satisfactory experience, position will transition to RN II at TL 125.2. RN’s with more than 2 years of experience will start at TL 125, with starting step negotiable depending on experience.
Knowledge of:
Medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
Knowledge of medical records, medical procedures, and terminology.
Ability to:
Recognize symptoms and provide recommendations within scope of practice.
Administer prescribed treatments, perform procedures, and carry out tasks ordered by providers within scope of practice.
Respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise.
Use critical thinking skills to adjust actions in order to provide patient centered care.
Adapt to rapidly changing situations.
Use effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex medical issues, work with team members and providers, and discuss difficult or sensitive issues.
Listen and understand complex information.
Be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary care team.
Work, communicate, and contribute to cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of co-workers.
Use scientific and psychosocial nursing principles, practices, techniques, and processes to provide care from infant to geriatric.
Read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures along with applicable laws and regulations; including, Tribal, Federal, State, and local jurisdictions.
Understand and work within tribal structure, culture, and values.
Work with diverse populations. Possess an understanding of disease process and communication needs for various age ranges.
Apply personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others. Provide non-judgmental care towards all persons, utilizing the harm reduction model.
Other:
BLS certification required or ability to obtain within 30-days of hire.
Must possess a valid Oregon State driver's license, insurance and be eligible to drive a GSA Vehicle.
