Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Andover, KS

Schedule: Nights | 3x12s (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), every other weekend required

Pay Rate: $35-$38 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (details to be discussed with hiring manager)

Shift Differentials

• Night Shift (7p-7a): +$4.00/hour
• Weekend Differential (11:00 PM Friday - 11:30 PM Sunday): +$4.00/hour
• Holiday Differential: 50% of base rate for 6 major holidays
• Note: Differentials stack when applicable

Position Summary

The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and comprehensive care to critically ill patients. This includes assessments, hands-on care, evaluations, and collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. The RN ensures patient needs are met and care is delivered in accordance with nursing standards and the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (required)
• Nursing Diploma completed in or before the 1980s accepted in lieu of degree
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification preferred at hire, required within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred at hire, required within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 6 months
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience (required)

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and evaluations
• Interpret and respond to diagnostic data and treatment outcomes
• Identify and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Provide care based on individual developmental, cultural, and educational needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, care plans, and recovery strategies
• Utilize critical thinking to assess effectiveness of interventions
• Maintain documentation per policy and ensure confidentiality
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
• Uphold ethical standards and support patient rights and advocacy
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines, including proper body mechanics
• Maintain professionalism during high-pressure situations
