PROFILE INTRODUCTION
The Expatriate Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high -quality, patient – centered nursing care in accordance with international best practices and hospital policies. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure patient safety, promote optimal clinical outcomes, and uphold the highest standards of professional nursing practice
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver comprehensive, evidence -based nursing care within the assigned specialty area.
· Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions, responding promptly to clinical changes and emergencies.
· Operate and maintain specialized medical equipment relevant to the unit (e.g., ventilators, dialysis machines, surgical equipment).
· Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention, control measures, and hospital safety protocols.
· Assist physicians and colleagues during clinical procedures and participate in patient education initiatives.
· Contribute to continuous quality improvement, staff training, and compliance with accreditation standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Kenyan citizen aged below 45 years.
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
· Higher Diploma in any of the following specialties from an accredited institution:
o Critical Care Nursing (KRCCN)
o Perioperative (Theatre) Nursing (KRPON)
o Renal Nursing (KRNN)
· Valid and current nursing license/registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
· Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in any of the following areas:
o High Dependency Unit (HDU)
o Critical Care Unit (CCU)
o Renal Unit
o Theatre/Operating Room
· Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
· Valid Kenyan passport and police clearance certificate.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural and fast – paced hospital environments.
