Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

The Labor and Delivery Nurse plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing specialized care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery. Skills

Proficient in airway management techniques to ensure patient safety during labor.

Skilled in venipuncture and IV insertion for medication administration and fluid management.

Experience in case management to coordinate care effectively across various departments.

Knowledgeable in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) protocols for managing high-risk deliveries.

Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record keeping.

Understanding of family planning practices to provide comprehensive postpartum support.

Background in trauma medicine to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Strong primary care skills to address general health concerns during pregnancy.
