Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

The Labor and Delivery Nurse plays a crucial role in providing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and newborn. The Labor and Delivery Nurse collaborates with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support throughout the birthing process.

Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:

Knowledge of Geriatrics to provide comprehensive care for diverse patient populations.

Proficiency in Venipuncture for effective blood sample collection.

Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation.

Experience with Neonatal ventilator management for critical newborn care.

Understanding of Long term care principles to support patients post-delivery.

Experience working in a Level II trauma center is advantageous.

Skills in Ostomy care for patients requiring specialized post-operative attention.

Background in Home care nursing for continuity of patient support after discharge.

Willingness to engage in Travel nursing opportunities as needed.

Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings is a plus.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $68.95 per hour
