Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both the mother and newborn. You will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care throughout the childbirth process.

Charting System: Epic

Certifications:ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP

Skills

Proficient in suture techniques for perineal repair.

Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) relevant to maternal care.

Experience in acute pain management strategies for laboring patients.

Familiarity with ICU protocols for high-risk pregnancies.

Background in assisted living or home care settings is a plus.

Ability to lift patients safely while adhering to proper ergonomics.

Understanding of internal medicine principles as they relate to obstetric patients.

Competence in managing medical records efficiently.

Experience in senior care can be beneficial when addressing the needs of older expectant mothers.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
