Job Title: Registered Nurse – LTACHLocation: Philadelphia, PAShift/Schedule: Days/Nights (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM/7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Facility: Long Term Acute Care Hospital FacilityWorking hrs: 12hr/day & 3 days/week (Guaranteed 36hr/week with Every Other Weekend)Duration: 3 MonthsPay Range: $55 to $62/hr. on W2 (may vary for local & traveler)Stipend: Only for travelers (more than 60 miles from facility)Education :- Nursing Diploma or ASN required or BSN.
Qualifications :- Minimum 1 year RN experience in Long Term Acute care setting.
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.
Job Description:- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
- Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
- Preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications.
- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.
- Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
- Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
- Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.
- Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
License/Certification :- Current PA/compact state RN license required or appropriate compact licensure.
- Current BLS & ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
