GENERAL SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of ambulatory care, including finance, emergency response, customer service and regulatory compliance. The Manager works closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

- Responsible for supervising and managing the clinical team members. This includes hiring, training and evaluating staff.
- Ensures department is compliant with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manages the budget, including staffing, equipment and supply costs.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals to improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients.
- Recommends, implements and evaluates processes to improve systems and patient care results.
- Recommends strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/service.
- Coordinates and maintains the environment for assigned facilities, including performance and maintenance of safety check lists.
- Handles circumstances and situations not achieving patient/family satisfaction, reports to senior management as necessary.
- If applicable, based on the Affiliate needs and/or state requirements, serves as the Pharmacy Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator which includes maintaining PI, annual and quarterly reports.
- Performs other position related duties as assigned.
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
- RN license and certification as required by state.
- BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years' RN experience, ambulatory clinic experience preferred.
- 2 years' experience in a leadership role preferred.
