Job Title: Nurse Manager of Surgical Services (Operating Room or CVOR)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager of Surgical Services to oversee the Operating Room (OR) or Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. In this leadership role, you will manage daily operations, ensure the highest standards of care, and foster a positive environment for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the hospital.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring workload is balanced and efficiently handled.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Oversee the use of systems and tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Meditech ORM, Meditech Reports, OR Dashboard, Healthstream, PACS, CVPACS, Kronos, e-SAF, MUSE, Staples, and HPF.
• Lead and supervise the surgical services team, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and procedures.

Industry Average Compensation in Houston, TX:

• Hourly Pay Range: $47.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and certifications.
• Annual Salary: $97,600 - $156,000, based on full-time employment.

Requirements

Required: 

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Registered Nurse (RN) License from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be by American Heart Association).
• At least two years of demonstrated management experience in an acute care OR setting.
• At least five years of clinical experience in an acute care OR setting.
• Preferred: 
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be by American Heart Association).
