Registered Nurse Manager - Free Standing Emergency Department - Days

• Department: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full-time Days: M-F (flexible) 
• Work Location:  UAB St. Vincent's Freestanding - Trussville, AL.

Manage emergency services activities, workflow and nursing resources.

• Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of nursing staff.
• Identiy and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
• Monitor and adhere to budget(s). Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification and diploma from an accredited school/college of Nursing. 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
