Job Summary: The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care across the Med-Surg and Telemetry units. This leader oversees daily operations, staffing, and performance outcomes in alignment with organizational standards and goals. The role demands a balance of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and compassionate care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Foster a culture of excellence by implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
Monitor clinical care for adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Promote consistency in patient interactions that support a positive, patient-focused experience
Lead and mentor nursing staff while identifying opportunities for professional development
Engage with feedback channels to drive improvements in patient and staff satisfaction
Model the organization's mission, values, and service excellence in all interactions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies
Manage scheduling and staffing needs to meet patient care demands
Oversee resource utilization, including supply and equipment management

Represent the unit positively in community and organizational events
Requirements
Qualifications Required:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (active and in good standing)
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of start date
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – must be obtained within 30 days of start date
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – must be obtained within 30 days of start date
