Registered Nurse Medical Care Unit

Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Trusted has streamlined the travel nursing experience by enabling nurses to apply directly to jobs without the need for recruiters. 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
Candidates must have a Illinois license in hand at the time of application.
• This role will require floating to multiple units

Patients are admitted to receive chemotherapy, and care after chemotherapy, radiaiton or surgical intervention.
Patients also receive frequent blood transfusions.
Patients may also require care of chest tubes, drains and dressings.
The unit also receives medical overflow patients. We are a fast paced unit serving adult to geriatric patients.
Should be comfortable working with LPN and team nursing on night shift
Shifts are 0645-1915 and 1845-0715
Every other weekend rotation is expected.
Will need to be flexible to float first, then based on hospital needs would float to other general med-surg units based on hospital needs and individual competency.
Weekend Scheduling: * A weekend is defined as Friday night at 1900 until Monday morning at 0700. * Colleagues with unexcused absence/illness during regularly scheduled weekend shifts will be automatically scheduled to work a weekend make-up shift on the next schedule (no considered over-time). The make-up shift will be in addition to your regularly scheduled weekend.
