Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical Unit

Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule: 3x12 Hour Rotation

Pay Range: $30.04 - $41.50/hr (based on experience)

Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$4/hr
• Weekends: +$4/hr

Sign-On Bonus:

• Up to $30,000 for night shift (2-year commitment)
• Case-by-case for day shift

Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical-Surgical RN to join a high-acuity Med/Surg team at a 585-bed Level I Trauma Center. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your clinical skills across a diverse patient population, including post-surgical, neurologic, urologic, vascular, and general medical cases. RNs are empowered to expand their knowledge and support stable but complex patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver direct patient care while supervising non-licensed nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients and perform interventions per protocols and physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.

• Department: Medical-Surgical (including Neuro, Ortho, Nephrology specialties)
• Beds: 49
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state (required)
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required (does not have to be recent)
• BLS certification required upon hire
