Responsibilities:

• Adheres to and complies with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specific to unit.

• Understands all new physician orders must be implemented within two hours of initiation for routine and within 30 minutes or less for stat.

• Understands and is able to administer medication per physicians orders adhering to the hospital approved patient identifiers, following the 5 rights of patient medication administration.

• Demonstrates ability to assist physicians with procedures in the NICU/Nursery.

• Initiates transitional care on the newborn.

• Float within the Maternal Child Division willingly as per competency matrix.

• Manage patients in post anesthesia recovery area.

• Manage labor patients.

• Assist during epidural anesthesia.

• Maintains NPR and Fetal monitoring every 2 years.

Qualifications

• FL RN License.

• BLS required.

• ACLS required.

• NRP required

• Min 2 years in area of specialty..

• AWHONN Intermediate certification within 6 months of hire

• Fetal monitoring competency test required every two years.
