Work location\: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours\: PRN II, Days- Requires at least 3 shifts per 6 week schedule, 7\:00 am -7\:00 pm

 

Department highlights:

·      Fast paced 23 bed Observation Unit with an average patient stay of 24-48 hours, primarily serves patients with chest pain/rule out, MI, COPD, Dehydration, Syncope, UTI, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, allergic reaction and cellulitis among others.


Here’s What You Need

·      Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required

·      BSN preferred

·      One-year experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting required

·      One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred

·      RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

·      BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

·      ACLS within  90 days of hire required

·      CPI within 90 days of hire required

 

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

·      Assesses the patient

·      Plans the care of the patient

·      Intervenes as appropriate

·      Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

·      Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

·      Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

·      Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
