Responsibilities:

Completion of pertinent nursing assessment and interventions.

Ensure new patient records received and abstracted for physician review.

Telephone triage of clinic patients.

Assist physician with in-office minor surgical procedures such as excisional biopsy /wide excision/ JP drain/wound vacuum care, wound drainage, Bone Marrow BX, Minor surgical procedures.

Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections, work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions, access, de-access and trouble shoot PAS-ports and chest ports.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, chemo/surgery/BMT teaching, treatment side effects.
