Registered Nurse - Operating Room

OAK Surgery Center, located in Bourbonnais, IL is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is expected to be full time and is benefit eligible.

As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures, contributing to their recovery and overall quality of life.

Duties:

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, organizing surgical equipment, and ensuring a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients during surgery, providing support to the surgical team as needed.
• Administer medications, manage airways, and assist with pain management as required. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families.

Requirements

Skills/Education/Experience:

• Current IL RN license
• Current ACLS/PALS required, BLS preferred
• Minimum two years' experience in an OR, ER, ASC or critical care environment

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
