Registered Nurse - OR

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.

Duties

• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes in their condition throughout the surgical process.
• Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and maintain a safe surgical environment.
• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures and other diagnostic evaluations as required.
• Provide compassionate care to patients with developmental disabilities, dementia, or those requiring hospice palliative medicine.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records of surgical procedures and patient responses.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, recovery processes, and any necessary follow-up treatments.

Years of Experience: 3 year(s)

Certifications:

• Active CA state licensure
• BLS/ACLS

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience working in an Operating Room setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging processes.
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus.
• Previous experience in ICU or similar critical care environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate approach to patient care, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia.

Pay: $60.67 per hour
