Registered Nurse - PACU

Description

Illinois Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery Center, is located on the near North Shore in Morton Grove. We are an ambulatory surgery center specializing in Orthopaedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Podiatry, Plastic Surgery and Pain Management. We are currently seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of our surgical patients in the immediate pre and post-anesthetic period, communicating accurate and timely information regarding patients and their care, continuously assessing health status of surgical patients both before and after surgery utilizing a variety of methods, and organizing a plan of care that incorporates physician prescribed treatments, nursing assessments and diagnostic data in a manner that is prioritized, timely and is integrated with the with the surgical plan of care.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. Requirements

Skills/Education/Experience:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must possess general clinical competency in acute patient care.
• Must demonstrate ability to gather pertinent medical history and provide concise instruction for pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an ASC, OR or ER/critical care environment
