Registered Nurse - Professional Development Opportunities

A-Line Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team within the correctional setting. As a Correctional RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring their well-being and promoting a safe and secure environment.

Shift: Day shift, 6am-7:20pm working Sunday, Thursday, and Friday

Pay Rate: $30-$35 per hour depending on Experience

Responsibilities:

1.            Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates, including assessment, triage, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.

2.            Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accuracy, adherence to protocols, and monitoring for potential side effects or adverse reactions.

3.            Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies within the correctional facility, coordinating with the healthcare team and security personnel to ensure a swift and organized response.

4.            Health Education: Conduct health education sessions for inmates on topics such as disease prevention, medication management, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

5.            Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for inmates.

6.            Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

7.            Security Measures: Adhere to security protocols and guidelines, working closely with correctional officers to ensure the safety and security of both healthcare staff and inmates.

8.            Mental Health Support: Provide emotional support and counseling to inmates dealing with mental health issues, collaborating with mental health professionals as needed.

Qualifications:

•              Current RN license in the state of OHIO

•              BLS certification

•              Ability to work within a secure and structured environment.

•              Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

•              Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
