Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night shift.
This role is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented RN who thrives in a fast-paced, intermediate-care environment. The PCU nurse provides high-level care for patients who are not critical enough for ICU but require more monitoring than a general med-surg floor. This is a night shift position with structured weekend requirements and a competitive retention bonus based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver competent, age-appropriate care to patients based on individual needs and acuity levels

• Adhere to all hospital and departmental attendance, punctuality, and behavioral expectations

• Stay current with best practices through ongoing education and self-directed learning

• Participate in staff meetings, mandatory in-services, and complete required competency evaluations on time

• Wear appropriate protective equipment when necessary

• Perform other related duties as assigned in alignment with department policy and procedures

• Maintain a calm, efficient demeanor during periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads

• Demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing tasks and priorities during shift

Must Have's:

• Associate Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited program (Required)

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Georgia license (Required)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Must be obtained before completing unit orientation)

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives

• Basic computer proficiency
• 1–2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a progressive care, telemetry, or step-down unit (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited program (Preferred)

Location:Albany, Georgia

Salary: $31.00–$41.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts
One weekend per month required
No on-call rotation
