Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to be a part of our Health Services team. This position will primarily provide direct patient care to students at FPU with a focus on primary care-based services in accordance with NH State Licensing. Works as liaison between the Health staff and Counseling, Residential Life, Dean of Students and other campus constituents. This position will also represent, provide guidelines, and develop programs to support and improve the physical health of students and the campus.
The Registered Nurse is a key member of the Division of Student Affairs, assist staff members towards creating an environment where students are able to work diligently to support their community and pursue excellence; eager to learn, be open to new information and are prepared to be out of their comfort zone to enable learning and growth. The candidate will also work collaboratively with the Student Affairs departments, and other campus constituents to build a community that will be open and honest with one another and act with integrity and civility at all times, treating one another with respect, care and kindness as we work through conflicts and seek justice and understanding within and beyond the campus community.
The Registered Nurse will be a student advocate, is open to new and challenging experiences, is highly motivated, cares deeply about forming strong relationships, and will engage in meaningful and educational experiences with students. The candidate should be comfortable working in a progressing, expeditious framework with shifting responsibilities. Flexibility with the College’s academic calendar, divisional priorities, and students’ needs is required.
The Registered Nurse will contribute to campus-wide initiatives, such as STEP Day, New and Transfer Student Orientation, community meetings. Doing so will advance our commitment to diversity, inclusion and foster a safe and flourishing community. Chosen candidate will become a committed member of the Student Affairs team in university and divisional committee work, projects, meetings, retreats and overall community development. As a staff member you will assist with co-curricular activities and services for students. Availability of working evenings and weekends is required.
Typical Schedule:
Expected work schedule 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. As needed, it may indicate evenings, weekends, and on-call. Through all months except June and July. As a 10-month employee, schedule may vary based on the number of hours needed to meet the job responsibilities.
