VA Community Living Centers (CLC) are VA-operated nursing homes that provide long-term and short-term care, offering a homelike environment with skilled nursing, help with daily activities (ADLs), rehabilitation, and hospice for eligible veterans, focusing on restoring well-being, preventing decline, and providing comfort, often featuring resident-decorated rooms, family-friendly visits, and pet allowances to feel less institutional.
$3,000 - $3,200 a week
Shift Availability: 0700 AM-0330 PM; 0730AM-4000PM; 0800AM-0430PM; 1030AM-0700PM; 1130AM-0800PM; 1230PM-900PM; 0330PM-1200AM.
Scope of Care:
· Clinical Care: Administering medications, giving treatments (like nebulization, oxygen therapy), performing diagnostic tests, collecting samples, and wound management.
· Assessment & Planning: Conducting head-to-toe assessments, developing individualized care plans, and monitoring residents' health to detect changes.
· Coordination: Working with physicians, pharmacists, and other providers to coordinate care and implement orders.
· Communication: Serving as a liaison between residents, families, and the healthcare team, reporting health status changes.
· Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and managing paperwork for admissions and discharges.
· Emergency Response: Managing urgent medical situations and providing immediate care.
Qualifications:
Any state license to practice as a Registered Nurse
BLS
Minimum 2 years relevant experience
