Registered Nurse (RN) at Skilled Nursing Facility (Sundays, Only, 12-hr shift)

Weekend position with a great team and stable leadership at a facility with a high nurse-to-patient ratio- average census 16 with 1 nurse on duty.

The Company: Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non-profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009 with the mission to "honor God by serving others with love and compassion." We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Our 19-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) opened in April 2017.

Shift Availability: Part-time. NOC shift (7 pm to 7 am every Sunday)

Job Description: We're looking for individuals who take joy in providing excellent, personalized care for those struggling with a temporary set-back or a terminal diagnosis. Our team of RNs, along with our CNAs and LVNs, seek not only accurate medical care but also enriching personal interactions for our patients in our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). Patients and their families often comment that they love our staff's friendliness and dedication -- and we're looking for more people who share that mindset.

The weekend RN will be responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care by following federal, state, and company regulations/policies, directing and documenting nursing duties, monitoring and reviewing care plans and procedures, reporting to the Director of Nursing, and leading by positive example. Responsible for medication pass for an average of 7-8 residents including all documentation and working alongside an LVN.

Position Requirements:

• Current RN license in State of California


• Excellent interpersonal and nursing assessment skills


• Ability to organize and direct nursing care


• Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and privacy


• Ability to monitor and oversee the work of others


• Willingness and ability to respond effectively to emergency and/or crisis situations
