Position Overview:
ACI Health is seeking qualified and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide emergency medical services under a non-personal services contract on an "as needed" basis. The RN will deliver high-quality, culturally competent nursing care in the fast-paced Emergency Room (ER) environment, supporting the facility’s mission to provide accessible and efficient healthcare to the Navajo Nation community.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room across all age groups.
• Perform initial triage and ongoing assessment of patients, recognizing emergent or life-threatening conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during diagnostic exams, procedures, and resuscitations.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record system (EHR).
• Maintain infection control and safety standards in all nursing practices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Comply with HIPAA and facility policies and procedures at all times.
• Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. State or Territory.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Experience working with Native American populations or in rural healthcare settings is preferred.

Additional Information:

• This is a non-personal services contract; the RN is not considered a federal employee.
• Work will be assigned based on facility need and staffing gaps. No guarantee of hours.
• Contractor must adhere to all facility policies, including background checks, drug screening, and credentialing prior to assignment.
• Housing and travel arrangements are the responsibility of the contractor unless otherwise negotiated.
