Registered Nurse RN- Intensive Care Unit ICu

Job Title: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse
Location: Andover, KS
Shift: Nights - 3x12s (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), Every Other Weekend (EOW) required
Salary Range: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$4.00/hour
• Weekends (Fri 11 PM - Sun 11:30 PM): +$4.00/hour
• Holidays: +50% of base rate
  (Differentials stack)

Position Summary

The ICU RN provides professional nursing care through assessment, direct physical care, evaluation, teaching, and counseling. This role ensures delegated care aligns with patient/family needs and supports a multidisciplinary approach in the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic and ongoing patient assessments
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to interventions
• Implements critical thinking in nursing judgment and care planning
• Provides patient and family education
• Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and ethical standards
• Maintains confidentiality and patient rights
• Responds effectively in crisis situations

Required Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma accepted if completed before 1980s)
• Active RN License in Kansas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - required
• ACLS - preferred at hire, required within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification - required within 6 months
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - preferred at hire, required within 6 months
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
